Sunrisers Hyderabad will be locking horns with Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday. Both teams will be eager to register their first win of their respective campaign and add two points in their tally in kickstart their season.
Both SRH and RR began their respective campaigns with a loss. Kolkata Knight Riders got the better of SRH on Sunday by six wickets in the penultimate over thanks to Andre Russell's quickfire 19-ball 49. Rajasthan, on the other hand, suffered a batting collapse in their run chase of 185 against Kings XI Punjab on Monday and they eventually fell short by 14 runs.
Prior to their clash on Friday, two New Zealand stars caught up with each other at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. One of them was destructive opening batsman Martin Guptill and the other one was leg-spinner Ish Sodhi. However, both will be competing against each other when the two teams take to the field on Friday. Guptill will be representing SRH while Sodhi will be playing for Rajasthan Royals.

Sodhi did not feature in his side's opening IPL 2019 fixture. He was bought by Royals last season, where he only played 6 matches, but did manage to pick up 5 wickets at a mean economy of 5.86.
Meanwhile, Guptill could not feature in the last edition after he went unsold. He was roped in by the 'Orange Army' this season and would also hope to feature for the 2016 winners. The Kiwi opener will be hoping to do much better than how he fared in 2017 season, when he represented Kings XI Punjab.
Sunrisers Hyderabad will be banking on home advantage, while Rajasthan Royals will be hoping to put behind their defeat in the first match.
