Delhi Capitals' (DC) wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was on song on Sunday during his side's first IPL 2019 fixture against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede stadium.

The 21-year-old launched into the opposing team's bowlers, including the irresistible Jasprit Bumrah, as he made a stunning 27-ball 78 at a strike rate of 288 to help his side post 213 for 6 in their 20 overs.

Pant began at a brisk pace, but during the end overs, took the away game away from the hosts. He had come out to bat in the 13th over after the dismissal of a well-set Colin Ingram (47).

Mumbai were not prepared about what was to unfold and he delighted the Wankhede crowd with his entertaining batting performance which included seven fours and seven sixes.

Twitterati wasted no time in appreciating his splendid knock.
