Chennai Super Kings will be up against the Rajasthan Royals at the MA Chidambaram stadium on Sunday. The defending champions and three-time winners will be banking on home advantage and aim for a hat-trick of wins while Rajasthan Royals will be eager to put aside their five-wicket loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday. The Royals are also currently languishing at the bottom of the points table without a single win in their first two matches. Therefore, they will be hoping to bring their campaign back on track by registering their first win of this season.

There are 5 things to look out for as the 2008 finalists lock horns on a Super Sunday.

1. Head-to-head records: CSK hold the advantage over RR in their overall head-to-head encounters. In the 20 matches that both teams have played, CSK have won 12 while RR have won on eight occasions. One of them include the final of the inaugural edition back in 2008. Chennai also have a superior home record over Rajasthan with a 5-1 victory margin in six matches.

2. Sanju Samson's knock: The 24-year old Kerala batsman scored an unbeaten 55-ball 102 at a strike rate of 185.45 which included 10 fours and two sixes which helped the Royals get to a competitive total of 198/2 in their 20 overs. However, his valiant knock went in vain as David Warner's blistering knock of 37-ball 69 along with his 110 run opening stand with Englishman Jonny Bairstow helped SRH achieve the total in the penultimate over. Samson will be looking to repeat the heroics of the last game and this time he will be hoping that his knock helps RR get over the line.

3. Ajinkya Rahane looks to lead from the front: Ajinkya Rahane finally managed to rediscover his rhythm as he scored a 49-ball 70 against SRH on Friday. His knock included four boundaries and three maximums at a strike rate of 142.86. The Rajasthan skipper was involved in a 129 run partnership with Sanju Samson after the early dismissal of star opening batsman Jos Buttler.

4. Can Rajasthan batsmen tackle the spinners?: CSK will be playing their second home game and will bank on their top quality spinners to provide breakthroughs. In their season opener against RCB, CSK's frontline spinners Harbhajan Singh and Imran Tahir picked up three wickets each to break RCB's backbone and they were eventually bundled out for a paltry 70.

5.Will Jos Buttler make an impact?: Rajasthan's premier batsman Jos Buttler has had a bittersweet IPL so far. He had scored a 43-ball 69 during RR's season opener against Kings XI Punjab but was 'Mankaded' by skipper Ravichandran Ashwin. In the next match against SRH, he started slowly and could not last for too long as he was castled by Rashid Khan for five. The Englishman will be eager to prove a point or two on in Sunday's clash against CSK.
