Australia is so synonymous with kangaroos that even the cricket team is known by that name often and Harsha Bhogle was excited when he spotted their national animal. While the veteran commentator shared the moment on social media, the Twiteratti left some interesting comments on his post.
Harsha was quick to record the visual of a kangaroo hopping across outside his cottage and posted it on Twitter, along with the caption, “Look who just turned up outside my cottage.” He also tagged the official accounts of Sydney and Australia along with the post. While the post in itself was interesting, the comments were more interesting.
Netizens compared it to former Pakistan batsman Javed Miandad’s famous jump against Indian wicketkeeper Kiran More, incidentally at Sydney, during the 1992 World Cup.
For those who are not aware of the incident, Miandad's jump was out of irritation of More's constant appealing and comments. The former was trying to mock the latter's wicketkeeping style with it. Watch the video here:
Some of them compared the kangaroo to former Australian bowler Mitchell Johnson, one of them related it to Jasprit Bumrah.
With India recently creating history in the country with their first-ever test series win, many connected it to the current Australia team’s performance in the recent series. From saying it was Aaron Finch playing against Bumrah, asking if it was walking to the pavilion or if it was the newest player of the team, there were hilarious comments. One asked Harsha to be careful as they have better fighting spirit than the Aussies.
