Islamabad United made it two wins in two days in the Pakistan Super League after a thrilling run chase that saw them beat Lahore Qalandars by just 1 wicket on Sunday, off the penultimate ball of the match.

Mohammad Hafeez hammered seven sixes and seven fours in an unbeaten 57-ball 98 as the Qalandars made 182 for six after being asked to bat first, then Shaheen Afridi took four United wickets for just 18 runs as Sohail Akhtar's side appeared poised for victory.

However, Islamabad skipper Shadab Khan's 29-ball 52 provided the platform for Colin Ingram (30 from 14 balls) and Asif Ali (18 from 11 balls) to play their shots and their No.11 Muhammad Musa got them over the line with three crucial boundaries.

Islamabad United (2-1), who beat Multan Sultans on Saturday, now top the table on net run rate, while the Lahore Qalandars (0-2) sit at the bottom of the pile.
