'Its an end of an era, but the beginning of so much more': Sania Mirza reveals a nickname she uses for Yuvraj Singh, calls him 'a hero and a legend' in wonderful retirement wish

One of Indian Cricket's 'Most Valuable Players' Yuvraj Singh brought the curtains down on his remarkable cricketing career which had spanned for nearly two decades. As he started the 'next chapter' of his life, Indian tennis player Sania Mirza greeted him with a heartwarming post.

One of Indian Cricket's 'Most Valuable Players' Yuvraj Singh brought the curtains down on his remarkable cricketing career which had spanned for nearly two decades. Ending a "rollercoaster" career with 40 Test matches, 304 One Day Internationals and 58 T20I's, the all-rounder accompanied by his wife and mother announced his retirement from International Cricket on Monday. 

Following the same, several celebrities across domains have come forward to bid adieu to the cricket star. Joining the bandwagon was Indian tennis player Sania Mirza who extended a heartwarming message for her friend post his retirement. She shared an interesting picture with Yuvi on Twitter, where she can be seen holding a Cricket bat while Yuvraj can be seen posing with a Tennis Racquet. 

Addressing the 2011 World Cup hero as 'motuuu', she wrote, "You are a hero and a legend which the world knows bout - but the remarkable human that you are,and luckily we get to knw u in this next phase too..its an end of an era, but the beginning of so much more with the next chapter in ur life motuuu.. BEST always. @YUVSTRONG12"

Being the son of former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh, Cricket has been a part of Yuvraj's life since childhood. As he finally draws the concluding line, he reminisced his journey of growing up with the game in a documentary ahead of announcing his retirement. He was accompanied by his mother and wife as he addressed the media on Monday morning.

Yuvraj was recently seen in action in the IPL where he was a part of the victorious Mumbai Indians squad. Barring his half-century in the first game, he could not make much of an impact as he was benched after four games.
