Kane Williamson is confident that he would be able to regain complete fitness before the two-match Test series against England starting from November 21

Kane Williamson is arguably the most loved cricketer of this generation when it comes to his consistent batting and being a true gentleman. After all who can forget that painful image of him smiling after New Zealand's World Cup final loss against England earlier this year? Nonetheless, Williamson had an outstanding World Cup as he was adjudged Player of the Tournament for having amassed close to 600 runs. Meanwhile, the injured Kiwi skipper is confident that he will be fit for the upcoming Test series against England.

Kane confident of regaining cent percent fitness

Kane Williamson was ruled out of the ongoing five-match T20I series due to a hip injury while Tim Southee is currently leading New Zealand. However, the Black Caps captain is confident that he will be fully fit for the upcoming two-match Test series which gets underway from November 21 at the Bay Oval. Speaking to an international sports channel, Williamson said that he has been undergoing rehab from the last few months to get the hip right. The stylish batsman then added that he had recently played a four-day game as well before adding that there is a gap between the series and the first Test and he was basically training to go into it. The 29-year-old then mentioned that he was trying to get his mindset right as well as also preparing to give himself the best chance.

Kane Williamson reflects on the World Cup final

Kane Williamson was seen smiling and standing boldly even after his team's dreams were shattered. Speaking to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Williamson said that the guys (team-mates) are still thinking about it and are trying to make sense of it. Kane Williamson also mentioned that it is a credit to the match that he and his boys were involved in but also the result and how it all ended up. He further added that it is one of the things which they will be talking about for a long time.
