The illustrious career of Kallis

One of the most terrifying all-rounders of all-time, South Africa's Jacques Kallis will always be remembered for his ability to swing the game away from the opposition, both with the bat and the ball. The former Proteas all-rounder, who retired in 2014 from both ODI and Test formats of the game, has amassed 13289 runs from 1676 Test matches and 11529 runs from 328 ODI games, in the span of his 18-year long international career. Jacques Kallis was an important factor of South Africa's bowling attack and has 292 Test wickets and 273 ODI wickets to his name. Jacques Kallis is the fifth batsman with the most number of centuries in the game (62). With over 19,000 runs in the First Class and List A games, Jacques Kallis went on to become one of South Africa's greatest cricketers. The splendid all-rounder had 338 catches to his name - 200 Test catches, 131 ODI catches and 7 T20 grabs. Jacques Kallis has seen the South African side through its highs and lows and has often been their saviour, batting at the top of the order in an explosive fashion while also rattling the batting line-up of the opposition with his sheer pace.
