Kings XI Punjab will be locking horns with two-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders at their fortress in Eden Gardens on Wednesday. Both teams are confident after winning their opening games and will be hoping to keep their winning run intact. Kolkata had pulled off an incredible win over Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets on Sunday at the same venue thanks to Andre Russell's quickfire knock of a 19-ball 49 whereas, Kings XI Punjab overcame Rajasthan Royals by 14 runs in a dramatic contest on Monday.

Last year's 'Purple Cap' winner Andrew Tye said that he had finished training on the ground and that he had a great session. Tye also added that he could not wait to play at the Eden Gardens. At the same time, the 32-year old Aussie pacer let everyone know that he is the reigning 'Purple Cap' holder and he is hungry to win it back.

Punjab's young batsman Karun Nair said that it is always a pleasure to play in front of a packed crowd at the Eden Gardens and the home team (KKR) is very strong. He also said that it will be a good contest and that they will entertain the fans.

South Africa's hard-hitting middle-order batsman David Miller said that he was looking forward to the game and that he is fully prepared for the occasion. Miller also said that he was very pleased with the team's performance in the last game and hoped that they will be able to repeat the same performance in the next game as well.
