MS Dhoni is making the most of playing his 150th IPL game for CSK. Things fell him place for him right from the toss against Kings XI Punjab on Saturday when the coin landed in his favour and he had no hesitation in batting first on a turning track at Chepauk which will assist the spinners. CSK openers Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson ensured that Dhoni's decision was spot on as CSK got off to a brisk start.
The duo stitched in 56 runs for the opening stand. Faf continued his good run even after Watson was dismissed in the seventh over. He went on to register his 10th IPL half-century in the process. He was dismissed for a well made 38-ball 52 at a strike rate of 142.11. Raina followed him soon and CSK were reeling at 100/4 in the 14th over. That is when 'Thalaiva' took the attack to the opposition alongwith Ambati Rayadu. Both the middle-order batsmen added 60 runs for the fifth wicket stand and took CSK to a competitive score of 160/3 in their 20 overs. The CSK skipper played an important cameo of an unbeaten 23-ball 37 at a strike rate of 160.87 including four boundaries and a maximum.
Dhoni also made an impact behind the stumps when he took an excellent catch of Harbhajan's bowling to send the dangerous Indian Premier League posted a picture of Dhoni making his 150th IPL appearance for CSK.
