November 6, 2013, will always be a memorable day for Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami. He made his debut on this day in the Test format against the West Indies. Shami picked nine wickets in the first Test India played against Windies at his home ground, i.e Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The pacer was in great form against Australia in the ODIs prior to the series before he was present his debut Test cap. He bowled consistently against West Indies in that match, adjusting his pace to an average of 130 km/hr on a slow pitch in Kolkata. His deliveries were gaining reverse swing with both the old and the new ball.
