Parthiv Patel who had started his international cricketing career as a teenager back in 2002 could not consolidate his place in the Indian squad after 2004. The wicket-keeper batsman had to wait for his chances once MS Dhoni had announced his arrival on the big stage and set a benchmark for himself. When it comes to Patel's IPL career, he has been associated with six teams since the inception of the tournament and has been representing the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since the 2018 edition. Meanwhile, Parthiv Patel had the last laugh over Dean Jones who had questioned RCB's move of retaining him.

Parthiv Patel has the last laugh

Parthiv Patel was one of the positives for RCB in the previous edition where they yet again failed to go past the league stages. He was rewarded for his performance as the Bangalore franchise has decided to retain him. The news was confirmed by Mike Hesson, who is the newly appointed Director of Cricket Operations of RCB.

After coming to know that the three-time finalists have decided to retain the southpaw, cricketer-turned-commentator Dean Jones came forward and wondered what was the reason behind RCB retaining Patel.

However, the Gujarat cricketer was not the one to back out and he seemingly ended this conversation with a befitting reply.
