Ravindra Jadeja has been one of India's premier all-rounders in both white as well as red-ball cricket for many years. He has also been the go-to man of Virat Kohli in the longest format of the game as he has got the deliveries that leave even the best batsman bamboozled on Indian wickets. Jadeja has also had a brilliant run with the bat in the last two innings with scores of 91 and 51 respectively. He once again provided a breakthrough for his team with a dream delivery on Day 2 of the third and final Test match.
It happened in the 32nd over of the South African innings when the visitors were struggling to get going. Jaddu had earlier dismissed a well-set Zubayar Hamza. However, the one that got rid of Heinrich Klaasen was a beautiful delivery. On the fourth ball of the 32nd over, Jaddu had pitched the ball on the offside with a lot of flight as Klaasen who looked to defend the ball was completely beaten as the ball beat his defence and hit the off stump as the Proteas found themselves in all sorts of trouble.
India continued to pile misery on the visitors as they enforced follow-on over South Africa after bundling them out for 162 runs in the first innings on Day three. Even as South Africa were sent out to bat for the second time, they lost two early wickets - De Kock and Zubayr Hamza getting bowled over by Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Shami respectively. Trailing India by over 320 runs. South Africa are eyeing to avoid what happened to them in Pune as they look to stop the India onslaught.
It seems that the South African batsmen are simply clueless when it comes to picking the Indian spinners. On the second delivery of the 29th over bowled by Shahbaz Nadeem, the spinner had landed the ball around the middle and leg which tempted Bavuma to come down the track to defend as the ball turned away and he missed it completely while Saha made no mistake behind the stumps in whipping off the bails.
