Mahendra Singh Dhoni found his 'Midas Touch' with the bat when India faced Bangladesh in their second ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 warm-up match at Cardiff on Tuesday. India were invited to bat first by Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza after winning the toss. India got off to a poor start as Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed cheaply for just one run. Kohli and Rohit then tried to steady the ship, but Rohit was dismissed just when India looked in control and Indian skipper Kohli followed him soon after. India then looked in a spot of bother after they suffered a middle order collapse and were reeling at 102/4, just like their first warm-up game against New Zealand last Saturday.

However, MS Dhoni and KL Rahul ensured that the 'Men In Blue' did not lose their way as the duo added 164 runs for the fifth wicket. Rahul fell for a well-made 99-ball 108. The onus was then on the wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni to anchor the Indian innings and take them to a good total, which he did as he scored a brilliant century. He was bowled by Shakib-Al- Hasan in the final over. By the time Mahi was dismissed, he had scored a blistering 78-ball 113 at a strike rate of 144.87 including eight boundaries and seven maximums. His quickfire ton helped India get to a huge total of 359/7 in their 50 overs.
