Ardent fans of Mahendra Singh Dhoni might feel they know every single detail about their hero. Those who’ve traced his journey right from childhood in Ranchi, his rise to fame with that innings of 148 against Pakistan and watched each every interview of his have something special coming their way. While the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', that released in 2016 was a cinematic adaptation of his journey, the ‘Captain Cool’ will himself open up on his ‘untold story’ in a web series.
After Sachin Tendulkar’s ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’, Dhoni is the latest one to have his life story being adapted in a documentary-drama, but this time it will be on the digital medium. The episodes of ‘Roar of the Lion’, a Hotstar Special, will be going live on the streaming platform, starting on 20 March.
“You all are aware about my journey from a Ranchi ticket collector to the World Cup (plot of ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’) Dhoni, Mahi, MSD, Captain Cool, Thala, every name of mine, every story of mine, you all know. But there is one story that you haven’t heard. This is the story of stubbornness,” the World Cup winner says in the video featuring many moments from his career and fans, as he practises boxing in the ring.
