The India vs Bangladesh Test match at Indore so far has been all about Mayank Agarwal. The Karnataka batsman smashed his way to a mammoth 243 against a hapless Bangladesh bowling attack, who had no answers for Mayank’s stroke play. Mayank, who was retained by the Kings XI Punjab, ahead of the IPL Auction 2020, broke many records in the process, before holding out in the deep in an attempt to hit a record 9th six.

The batsman tore into the Bangladesh attack, adding 56 more runs in just 32 balls since Rohit Sharma’s animated gesture. Mayank eventually fell, trying to hit his 9th six of the innings, caught by Abu Jayed who was stationed in the deep, off Mehidy Hasan.

India are in pole position in the Indore Test, leading Bangladesh by a massive 343 runs at Stumps on Day 2. Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja, all aided Mayank Agarwal as India piled on the misery on their neighbours, who were bowled out for a paltry 150 in the first innings. With India in no hurry to declare their innings, it seems the Bangladeshi bowlers are in for another long day when play resumes on Saturday at 9:30 AM.
