Rohit Sharma continues to have a dream run in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as he scored yet another blistering ton against Sri Lanka at Leeds on Saturday. This was the Indian vice-captain's third consecutive century in the ongoing quadrennial event. At the same time, the Hitman also became the first batsman to register five hundreds in a single edition of the World Cup which is also a record. He also added 189 runs with KL Rahul for the first wicket

Sharma started attacking right from the word 'Go'. He was also well supported by his opening partner Rahul. Rohit played a fiery knock by hitting the ball to all areas of the ground. He brought up his 27th ODI ton in the process. However, he could not last for too long as he was caught by Angelo Mathews at mid-off off Kasun Rajitha. The Hitman scored a 94-ball 103 at a strike rate of 109.57 which included 14 boundaries and two maximums.

The netizens came forward to congratulate Rohit Sharma for his world record.
