As the cricketer turned 39 years old, he shared a throwback picture of the duo on Twitter and captioned it saying, "Happy Birthday KP! Wishing you a healthy and happy year ahead!"

Following the same, Pietersen asked him to come out on the field once again and commented on the post saying, "Thanks buddy! Let’s play !"

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar who is currently in London as India is aiming to strengthen their semifinal spot against West Indies as the two teams lock horns against each other at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Thursday. Team India are having a splendid run in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The Men In Blue are the only undefeated side in the tournament. The Virat Kohli-led side has won four of their five matches. One of their contests against the Kiwis was washed away due to rain. Meanwhile, the Caribbeans are at the eighth position with just a solitary win in their six matches.
