The Indian cricket team kicked off their England tour in a very positive fashion, winning the T20I series 2-1. But the hosts bounced back in a strong way, winning the ODI series 2-1.

With the visitors failing to carry the momentum the ODI series, the Men in Blue will be looking to bounce back in the longest format of the game which is slated to get underway from August 1 at Edgbaston.

The Indian cricketers are focussed hard on recuperating as they will be desperate to change their  Test record in England, owing to the humiliating loss the suffered the last time they toured in England in 2014.

Virat Kohli and Co. have already kick-started their preparation for the much-awaited Test series, with a warm-up game against Essex County Club. However, the warm-up game was curtailed to three days owing to the heat wave in England, leaving the Indian Cricket Team's preparations haywire for the Test rubber against England.

The southpaw Shikhar Dhawan recently posted a picture with his team-mates Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara on social media which stamped their bromance. The picture shows Dhawan striking an animated pose while standing in the slips alongside Pujara and skipper Kohli.

It is rightly said that sport requires chemistry between the players for a team to function as a unit and Dhawan's tweet is classic example of that analogy.

Essex finished the third day at 345/9 and trail India by 50 runs after the Men-in-Blue got all out at 395. Murali Vijay, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya scored half-centuries with Karthik top scoring at 82 runs.

Ahead of the grueling five-match Test rubber, members from the Indian cricket team were spotted enjoying their time off. Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan's families were seen enjoying some quality time together.

Recently, England announced its squad for the five-match Test series, which saw some surprise inclusions. They recalled Adil Rashid, who has played 10 Tests and picked up 38 wickets, ahead of Jack Leach and Dom Bess.

All-rounder Moeen Ali has been recalled to the test squad for the first time since the tour of New Zealand to offer another spin bowling option, while seamer Jamie Porter earned his first call-up.

England’s full squad: Joe Root (c), Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Alastair Cook, Sam Curran, Keaton Jennings, Dawid Malan, Jamie Porter, Adil Rashid, Ben Stokes.
