"Rawalpindi Express" -- former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, arguably the fastest in the world, has now bowled a ripper of a lifetime -- now off the pitch -- by calling most of the Pakistani players as "fixers."

"Sare fixers bhare pare thhe. Kaun kaun fixers pata nahi chata thha. Tab 21 logo ki team hoti thhi... dusre ke 11 aur humare 10 (There was rampant fixing going on in my time. There is a fixer here and fixer there. The matches used to happen with only 21 players -- 11 from their side and 10 from ours)," Shoaib was seen telling a local Pakistani channel.

"Asif ne mujhe bataya ki usne kaun se match fix kiye thhe. To hum apna zor laga rahe thhe aur woh apne zor laga rahe thhe. (Md Asif told me which all matches he had fixed. So he used tell us you had done your best job and I did my best (fixing)."

This is the first time a topmost Pakistani former player has alleged fixing at all including top-level prevalent and rampant in Pakistani cricket. Pakistani Cricket Board has mostly dismissed such allegations as "personal vendetta" and never addressed the issue with most of the guilty players going scott free or let-off with lesser punishments.
