Shoaib Akhtar is one of the best and the finest fast bowlers produced by Pakistan. In fact, he was arguably the best speedster of his generation. Shoaib Akhtar, who is known as the 'Rawalpindi Express' till date holds the record for having bowled the fastest delivery. He had bowled that ball at 161.3kph during the 2003 World Cup against England. Even after hanging up his boots from the game, he continues to show keen interest in Pakistan cricket. He has his own Youtube channel on which he gives his expert opinions about the game and the players. Meanwhile, Akhtar along with his former Pakistan team-mate Younis Khan has come forward to criticise the current team.

Akhtar and Younis humiliate Pak team

After the top-ranked T20I side suffered a series defeat at the hands of a second-string Sri Lankan side at Lahore, former Pakistani greats Shoaib Akhtar and Younis Khan came forward to critcise the Sarfaraz-Ahmed led side. It so happened that an expert who had also made his presence felt enquired about the Pakistan team's bench strength to which Younis Khan gave a hilarious reply. The former swashbuckling batsman answered the question by pulling an empty chair and saying that this was the Men In Green's bench strength.

At the same time, Younis also highlighted what is hampering the growth of cricket in Pakistan. Meanwhile, Shoaib Akhtar had also expressed his disappointment over the axing of good players and adding mediocre players in the side. Indian greats Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid were also appreciated for changing the dynamics of the game in India and for finding players from the grassroots level.

A morale-boosting win for Sri Lanka

A spirited Sri Lankan continued from where they had left off after their emphatic 64-run win in the 1st T20I a couple of days earlier. The coin landed in their favour on Monday night and they had no hesitation in batting first. They were reduced for 41/2 but Bhanuka Rajapaksa's fighting half-century of a 48-ball 77 at a strike rate of 160.42 helped the visitors post 182/6 in their 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan never really got going once they had lost half their side for the score of 52. All-rounder Imad Wasim's 47 restored some hopes. However, it was not enough as they were bundled out for 147 and the islanders registered a 35-run win. After having lost the three-match series, the hosts will now be looking to salvage pride in the third and final T20I which will be played on Wednesday.
