Mumbai Indians overcame Kings XI Punjab by three wickets on the final ball of the game at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday. The match witnessed a lot of twists and turns and also a lot of entertainment on the field. There were a lot of actions in both the innings. First innings was full of KL Rahul and Chris Gayle's blockbuster batting performances while second innings consisted of Kieron Pollard's destructive batting and South African fast bowler Hardus Viljoen's funny incident with Pollard and an eye contact with Hardik Pandya.

However, there was yet another stand out performance in this game. KXIP's David Miller had his moment of the match when he got rid of his South African team-mate Quinton de Kock with an excellent catch. The incident happened in the ninth over of Mumbai's run chase which was bowled by Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin and the three-time champions had already lost two quick wickets by then.

Ashwin bowled a slower delivery as de Kock charged down the track and looked to clear the fence by playing an inside out shot. The timing of the shot was right and it was perfectly executed from the middle of the bat. However, the result did not go in the opening batsman's favour as Miller covered a lot of distance and took an excellent catch at long on as the South African wicketkeeper batsman stood at the crease in disbelief before heading back to the dugout while Ravichandran Ashwin erupted in celebrations.

Last game's 'Man of the Match' winner Alzarri Joseph added the finishing touches by running two runs as Mumbai got past the finish line on the final ball of the game.

Earlier KL Rahul had scored a superb 64-ball 100 at a strike rate of 156.25. His innings included six boundaries and six maximums.
