With the T20 series between India and Australia ending on level terms, the focus now shifts to the much-anticipated four-match Test series between the two sides, which gets underway on December 6.
However, players from both camps will be looking to make the most of the long break of 10 days before the start of the grueling Test series. During this break, BCCI posted an old video of the Men in Blue having a swell time in Australia.
The video shows players Dinesh Karthik, KL Rahul and Washington Sundar enjoying their 'cheat day' by indulging in some sumptuous pancakes at an Australian restaurant in Brisbane, the city where the hosts won the first T20I.
While stuffing themselves with the incredibly tasty pancakes, the players recalled some of their most memorable moments from their previous Tours in Australia. In the video, KL Rahul can be heard telling Karthik and Washington about how he received stick from some of the Australian fans while fielding at the boundary ropes. Interestingly, the right-handed batsman was also making his debut for India A at that time.
"The crowd is really against us when we play here. They love their cricket but they will make our lives hard on the ground. That is why cricket in Australia is so exciting. When I played my first Test in Melbourne, I was standing at deep square leg and I couldn't even see Mahi bhai, he was trying to move me and I couldn't even see it. In the background you just couldn't pick it up and it's so far," said Rahul.
"Then, I went to deep square leg boundary and one of the guys in the crowd asked 'Mate, what's your name?'. They said hello and all but in 10 seconds, the whole section starts chanting 'Rahul is a wanker'," added the right-hander.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul has been struggling for form recently. The 26-year-old has been poor in the recently concluded series, in which he managed scores of 13 and 14 from his two outings and it remains to see if he retains his place in the squad for the upcoming Test series.
