Cricketer Mohammed Shami has joined the list of sportsperson who have supported the families of martyrs of CRPF forces. He has donated money to the wives of the CRPF jawans who have lost lives in the terror attack. He has said that cricketers like him will always be there for jawans who protect the border while they are playing for the country.

Cricketer Mohammed Shami has joined the list of sportsperson who have supported the families of martyrs of CRPF forces. He has donated money to the wives of the CRPF jawans who have lost lives in the terror attack.

He has said that cricketers like him will always be there for jawans who protect the border while they are playing for the country.

“When we play for our country they stand at the borders protecting it. We stand with the families of our jawans, we will always be there for them," he said.

On Sunday, several cricket personalities held a march in Mumbai to stand in solidarity with the martyrs and of ghastly terror attack perpetrated by Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad. 

Present at the march were well-known cricketers like Virendra Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina and Mohammad Kaif who expressed their gratitude to the defense force. 

Sehwag addressing the crowd said, "We can only thank the force and any kind of help that we must do for our brothers. I know everybody is sad, but the days coming will be good for all of us this is all I can hope."

Singh saluting the soldiers said, "I would like to immensely thank the soldiers who stand on the border every day and face such difficulties so we could live a happy life. So to those soldiers, I would like to salute. No film star is a hero, no cricketer is a hero, but if there is a true hero of this nation then they are the cricketers." 

Cricketer Virat Kohli on Friday postponed the RP-SG Indian Sports Honours, which was to take place on Saturday, as a "mark of respect" to the CRPF personnel martyred in the Pulwama terrorist attack.

In a massive victory for forces, two Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed in an encounter in Pulwama n south Kashmir. One of them is believed to be Jaish-e-Mohammed chief operation commander and JeM founder Masood Azhar's top aide Kamran.

The Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir police, SOG CRPF Joint operation in Pinglina carried the joint operation.
