Cricket came forward to convey their best wishes to 'King Kohli' and the squad and motivated the team ahead of his biggest task:

Famous rapper and musician Badshah extended best wishes to the team:

Looking forward to winning their third World Cup crown in England & Wales, the Indian team will be led by the charismatic Virat Kohli this year. With the 'Men In Blue' looking to emulate Kapil Dev's heroics in 1983 by lifting the trophy at Lord's, India will first be seen in action during the two warm-up games.

Kohli, who had won the World Cup as a player in 2011, will be looking to win the coveted trophy as a captain in 2019. India have won the World Cup twice in 1983 and 2011 under MS Dhoni's captaincy. They had reached the final of the 2003 edition under the leadership of Sourav Ganguly but were completely outplayed by Ricky Ponting's Australia in the summit clash.

India are one of the strong favourites to lift this year's World Cup along with hosts England and five-time as well as reigning World Champions Australia. They will be up against New Zealand on May 25 and Bangladesh on May 28.

The 12th edition of ICC Cricket World Cup will be played in England and Wales from May 30-July 14. The host England and South Africa will play in the World Cup curtain-raiser on May 30 at The Oval.

India will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5.
