  • While he was padded up to bat in the nets, a die-hard fan marched into the nets to have a good look at his hero. Dhoni saw him coming and decided to have some fun with the fan
  • Even though the fan was a good runner, he was no match for Dhoni's speed.

The IPL season is about to begin and the excitement is about to get even better as it promises to be yet another enthralling experience for the players as well as the viewers alike.

All the die-hard fans are gearing up to cheer for their respective teams and heroes and even the Chennai Super Kings fans are leaving no stone unturned in making their presence felt. First they gladly thronged into the stadium in large numbers to watch the first practice session of the CSK players. Then, they made the most of this opportunity by being on their feet when their 'Thalaiva' MS Dhoni walked out to the middle.

However, things did not end there as Dhoni made to have some fun. The man who is as cool as a cucumber is also one of the best when it comes to playing pranks and he showed it during the practice session. While he was padded up to bat in the nets, a die-hard fan marched into the nets to have a good look at his hero. Dhoni saw him coming and decided to have some fun with the fan. He acted as a bird as if he wanted to say 'Catch me if you can', dragged his CSK team-mate L Balaji in between before sprinting off. Even though the fan was a good runner, he was no match for Dhoni's speed. But the party was over as the fan was interrupted by the officials. Dhoni came forward and shook hands with the fan before sending him back.

The Chennai outfit took to Twitter to share the video:

This is not the first time where Dhoni was involved in such a prank. He had earlier done this during the Nagpur ODI of the recently concluded India-Australia series where a pitch invader had chased him around the VCA stadium before the start of second (Australian) innings.
