Virat Kohli is good at making a meal of bowlers by smashing them to all parts of the cricket ground. However, the Indian Captain was mightily impressed with a world class player’s bowling. The interesting bit is that the player plies his trade in another sport, football. World’s No 1-ranked batsman was bowled over by how good Harry Kane was at cricket as the Tottenham Hotspur and England striker bonded with the cricketer at Lord’s before the start of the World Cup.
Kane shared a video on Instagram with Kohli where he asks the cricketer if he liked football. The latter replies, “I love football” and then added, “That’s what we were talking the other day. Every cricket team plays football for warm-ups. I bet none of the football teams ever try cricket.”
The two superstars then indulged in a game of cricket. Kohli is seen giving throw downs to Kane, who seemed at ease, hitting the full face of the bat back to the Indian captain and saying, “It feels good.”
When they switch ends, the forward also dared to ask him, “Do you want my full pace?”
The cricketer was impressed with what he got as he said, “Not bad. You still remember the action.”
Kohli then says, “That’s brilliant, he is much better at cricket than I am at football.”
Kane captioned the post and was honest that there’d be no wishes for him if India plays England in the semi-finals, something highly possible. “Brilliant spending time with @virat.kohli at Lord’s recently. Wish him all the best for the rest of the World Cup except if they play England! 😉🏏”

Kohli replied, “Was fun catching up with you Harry. Cheers and thank you for your wishes.”
The duo's pictures before the tournament had gone viral. It was interesting from Kane to package a video of the lovely interaction which included their mutual admiration tweets from years ago.
