Prithvi Shaw looked in fine touch against the West Indian bowlers, displaying immense composure in a innings, which was laced with 15 boundaries. The Mumbai lad's classic strokeplay didn't not unnoticed as he earned the praises from several prominent figures from the cricket fraternity. The latest to come to the forefront was Virat Kohli, who is believed to be left in awe with the talented batsman.

"The way Prithvi dominated on debut was outstanding to see. Easy conditions or not, you still have to go out there and back yourself to dominate. The guy showed he's different quality, which is why he's pushed into the Indian team so quickly. He just grabs his opportunity with both hands. Exciting to see from a captain's point of view," Kohli said at the post-match press conference.

However, Prithvi Shaw is no stranger to headlines. Ever since the talented young batsman shot to prominence shot after starring for his school Rizvi Springfield after scoring 546 off 330 balls, the youngster has been likened to Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
