The sneaker which will be available in black and white colourways, perfectly blends the suave style of the Indian run-machine with Puma's all time classic range of sneakers - the Basket silhouette.

It is understood that Virat Kohli has worked very closely with PUMA during the entire creative process, to give a modern yet minimalistic touch to the iconic 'Basket' collection of sneakers from the brand's archives.

Virat Kohli speaking of his delight on dropping his latest sneaker, said on Instagram:100% classic, 100% me! And it's finally here! I'm launching the Basket Classic one8 today. 😇 It’s the very first sneaker that I have designed and it is simple, has a bit of cricket and is perfect for any occasion – just the way I love it! The two brands in collaboration, One8 and PUMA, have translated Virat Kohli's  passion for the game through their design. The white colorway of the shoe pays homage to iconic all-whites ensemble of Test cricket, while the gold stitching on the shoes bares resemblance to the stitches of a cricket ball. Keeping in mind the heritage of the sneakers, the translucent rubber sole gives it a classic retro feel.

The shoe is reported to be priced at Rs. 5,599 and will be available across all PUMA stores. Users who can't make it to the stores can grab the slick pair of sneakers on the brand's website.

Virat Kohli had last year struck an eight-year endorsement deal with PUMA, reported to be worth Rs 110 crore. By doing so, he become the first Indian sportsman to sign a Rs 100 crore deal with a sportswear brand. The deal saw him join the likes of sporting legends Usain Bolt, Thierry Henry and Asafa Powell, as the brand's global ambassador.
