India will always remain in debt to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose for his immense contribution towards the country's freedom struggle. As a result, former cricketers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir took to Twitter as they remembered the iconic freedom fighter on his 123rd birth anniversary on Thursday. Sehwag quoted Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's famous slogan "Give me blood and I will give you freedom" and thanked him for his contribution to the country.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was a great freedom fighter who served India as a valiant warrior and raised the first Indian National Army (INA), Azad Hind Fauj in 1943. He started an armed coup that inspired thousands of Indian youngsters to join the struggle for independence from the British colonial rule. Netaji was a key figure in India's freedom movement and considered by many as one of the greatest leaders ever born.

Virender Sehwag engages in a battle of words with Shoaib Akhtar

In other Virender Sehwag news, former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has hit back at his Indian long-time rival for his 2016 comments on the pacer by saying that he has more money than Sehwag himself has on his head. Sehwag had claimed that Akhtar showers praise on India only to get business out of the country.

Shoaib Akhtar has been seen making a video about India’s performances after every match. Recently, he released a number of videos in praise of India after their series win over Australia. Amidst all this, an old video showcasing Virender Sehwag did rounds on social media as the 'Nawab of Najafgarh' claimed that Akhtar was being sweet to India only to make a return to the country for media commitments and earning post-retirement money.
