Ahead of the grueling ODI and T20I series between India and Australia starting February 24, the off-field action has already begun with two former legends from the two sides going face to face with each other.
Aussie legend Matthew Hayden and arguably India's finest opener, Virender Sehwag, have taken a dig at each other through a Star Sports advertisement in the run-up to the much awaited series.
The theme of the advertisement was taken from the babysitting banter which took place between Tim Paine and Rishabh Pant when their respective sides met each other in the Test series in December 2018-January 2019.
Sehwag reignited the banter earlier this month by being a part of the hilarious advertisement in which he could be seen challenging the 'Australian babies' to come to India. And now, Hayden, who already hit back at the Indian on Twitter, has now hit back through an advertisement of his own.
In the recent advertisement, Sehwag could be seen giving milk bottles to the Aussie babies, before the crate of bottles he was holding fell down because of a ball thrown by Hayden, who stood on one side, and with a wry smile, dared Sehwag to not challenge Australia.
"Chalo chalo chalo, doodh pi lo. Beta aap bhi doodh pilo warna, Kohli aa jayega!" said Sehwag before Hayden emerged and said "Viru Paaji, Australians ko bachcha mat samajhna" in pure Hindi.
It all stems up from the first Star Sports advertisement featuring Sehwag, in which he could be seen having a bit of fun with babies wearing Australian jerseys.
"Aley aley aley, dekho kaun aaya hai idhar? Australia ki paltan aa gayi hai. Aley aley aley.....Jab ham Australia gaye the toh unhone pucha tha babysitting karoge? Humne kaha, sab ke sab aajao, zaroor karenge," Sehwag said before adding, "Bas vo hamare iraadon pe paani na pher dein."
Initially, Hayden had responded to this advertisement through a message on Twitter. The former Aussie great hit back at Sehwag by asking him to remember which country is babysitting the World Cup.
