VVS Laxman turns 45: Ex-teammates take to Twitter to wish the batsman!

Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman, who will be turning 45, has been prolific with bat in his career. His fellow cricketers have wished him on Twitter.

Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman, who turned 45 on Friday, has been prolific with the bat in his Test and ODI career. In the Test format, he has scored 8781 runs in 225 innings. Laxman scored his highest Test score of 281 runs against Australia in 2001. Meanwhile, in the ODI format, he has scored a total of 2338 runs in 83 innings. Happy birthday VVS Laxman

Limited-overs specialist Shikhar Dhawan wished VVS Laxman, with whom he had worked with at the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the past.

The BCCI termed Laxman as the most stylish batsman India ever had. They also uploaded a highlights video of him in which he scored 281 runs against Australia.

Gautam Gambhir, who is a former Indian cricketer and current member of Lok Sabha, wished Laxman as well. He praised Laxman for his wrist technique and he termed it as his favourite. Incidentally, Gambhir scored his first double century in Test cricket in late 2008 in a Test match against Australia in Delhi with Laxman at the other end, who also scored a double ton.

Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra also wished Laxman on his birthday. He named Laxman as one of the finest human beings he has ever come across.
