The IPL fever is on and the cricket fans will feel its effect in the coming days. Nonetheless, with less than a week left for the commencement of the cash-rich league, we are already experiencing its intensity.  The fans of the defending champions Chennai Super Kings are making the most of this opportunity to provide a right build-up for their team before they lock horns with the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram stadium on March 23.

The die-hard fans of 'Yellow Army' never disappoint when it comes to cheering for their team and they also did not disappoint when CSK had come to the Chepauk stadium for their practice session. The fans gave a standing ovation to their 'Thalaiva' MS Dhoni when he had come out to practice in the middle. The fun did not end there as a die-hard Dhoni fan invaded the stadium for getting one good look of his hero. However, Dhoni had other plans as he made the fan run after him and despite good pace, he could not match up to Dhoni's pace. Dhoni also dragged his CSK team-mate L Balaji in between much to the surprise of the fan. But, the officials intervened and Dhoni shook hands with the fan before he was sent back.

The 'voice of Indian Cricket' Harsha Bhogle was really impressed with the kind of reception that Dhoni got by the fans at Chepauk and he did not hesitate in acknowledging the same on Twitter.

Both Dhoni and Bhogle have had a hot and cold relationship in the past but the star commentator had no problems in showing his gratitude to the 2011 World Cup winning captain.

The response that Mahi received at Chepauk still shows how much people love him irrespective of his form with the bat and this might be the much-needed boost for him in taking his team past the finish line in order to win a record fourth IPL title. More importantly, his good run in the IPL might do wonders for India in the World Cup.
