Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma turns 32 on Tuesday (April 30). He is one of the most successful captains in IPL history having led Mumbai Indians to three IPL titles (2013, 2015 & 2017). He was appointed as MI's skipper in the 2013 edition.  As the 'Hitman' turns a year older, a few of his team-mates came forward to speak about his achievements as a leader.

One of Mumbai's superstar and West Indian explosive batsman Kieron Pollard said that Rohit Sharma has grown from strength to strength as a captain.

"When Rohit came into the Mumbai Indians squad I was already here. He has grown into the leadership. Leadership was entrusted upon him in 2013. Ever since that day, he has grown from strength to strength and he has proved as a leader by taking us to three IPL titles".

Young leg-spinner Mayank Markhande said that Rohit has made a huge impact in the 21-year old's career.

"Rohit bhaiya has had a huge impact on my career because whenever I would bowl he would back me up by saying that he is there for me so I do not need to worry and just bowl. When a captain says such a thing to you then it is very positive for you".

New Zealand speedster Mitchell McClenaghan who represents Mumbai Indians said that Rohit is very consistent as a skipper.

"I actually think that he has been pretty consistent which is probably the best thing you can say about a skipper and probably the most positive thing about Rohit is that even if you have a bad game, he is incredibly patient and backs the skills of his players".

Mumbai Indians batsman Suryakumar Yadav said that Rohit always supports any young guy or a newcomer who comes into the Mumbai Indians side.

"Whenever a young guy or any newcomer comes into the side, he has got a lot of support and even on the ground when the chips are down, he is the best man to be around. The way he handles each and everyone under pressure that is the most important thing".
