Kings XI Punjab will be playing their first home game of this season as they host the three-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians at the IS Bindra Stadium on Saturday. Punjab will be banking on home advantage to as they look to register their second win of this season. Both teams will be heading into this contest after playing two games on the back of a win and a loss each. Mumbai held on to their nerves to register a six-run-win over Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday while Kings XI Punjab will be looking to make amends for their 28 run loss against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.
Before the players of Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians took to the field, Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin was confident about his side's first home game against the Mumbai Indians. Kings XI Punjab shared the video on Twitter.
"I personally prefer playing at Mohali because it is dear to me as we really did well at Mohali last time and bringing Mumbai into Mohali is always going to be tricky. Playing at Mohali will be tricky for any team as it is a big ground with a good flat deck, said Ashwin.
The veteran Indian off-spinner also added that the Mohali wicket suits their batsmen like KL Rahul and Chris Gayle and that David Miller is used to the conditions. At the same time, he also mentioned that even the spinners will have a crucial role to play as the boundaries are bigger.
However, netizens are unwilling to let go of the Mankading controversy from KXIP's first match of the IPL season. While some are all for it, others aren't fans:

Ashwin signed off by saying that the clash against Mumbai was definitely the contest that he was looking forward to.
