Amidst all the hue and cry against Virat Kohli for his on-filed attitude following the second Test between Australian and India in Perth, an Australian journalist has stoked fire by posting a video on Twitter, mocking the Indian skipper for his behavior.
Dennis Tareen, an Aussie cricket opiner, took to the social media website, wherein he posted a random video to ridicule Kohli. His Twitter post read, "Here's Virat showing everyone how to behave when things don't go your way on the field."
In the aftermath of his on-field confrontation with Australian skipper Tim Paine, Kohli has been on the receiving end of criticism. The likes of Mitchell Johnson and Australian head coach Justin Langer have questioned the way the Indian skipper behaved in the Perth Test.
Though, players from the past have openly backed the 30-year-old's attitude. Earlier this week, former Aussie great Allan Border appreciated the aggression of Kohli on the field, stating cricket needs such characters.
"There's not many characters in our game at the moment. The professional era has sort of beaten that out to a certain degree. I haven't seen anyone sort of carry on so much as a captain when his side takes a wicket. It's really over the top but it's good in a way. You can see some passion about what he's trying to do," he told Fox Sports.
It was then followed by similar supportive message by former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar. Taking to Twitter, the 'Rawalpindi Express' wrote, "@imVkohli is one of the modern greats of the game. Aggression has been a part & parcel of competitive cricket, specially when you are playing Down Under as long as it stays in limit. Please cut him some slack."
