WATCH: Caught or dropped? This quick catch & release by Anuja Patil will leave you confused

Supernovas beat Velocity by four wickets to win the Women's T20 Challenge at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday. This game had a lot of standout moments which included young wicket-keeper Taniya Bhatia's outstanding stumping to get rid of Veda Krishnamurthy, who looked to rebuild Velocity's innings along with skipper Mithali Raj after they had lost their top order very quickly, then in the second innings, captain Harmanpreet Kaur played a stellar cameo and anchored Supernovas' run chase. However, there was yet another standout feature of the match which included Anuja Patil.

It happened in the third over of Velocity's innings which was bowled by Lea Tahuhu and Shafali Verma was on strike. On the final ball of that over, Tahuhu bowled a slower one and Verma tried to play a big shot over mid-off.

But, the ball was not timed well and she was caught by Anuja Patil at mid-on. Nonetheless, this catch created some amount of confusion whether Anuja had caught the ball or dropped it. Replays showed that she had taken the catch cleanly and then threw the ball back to celebrate the dismissal.

Supernovas skipper Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and had no hesitation in bowling first. It turned out to be a good decision as her bowlers bowled well as the Mithal Raj-led side lost wickets at regular intervals. Sushma Verma and Amelia Kerr then added for the sixth wicket after Velocity had lost half their side very early. Verma scored an unbeaten 32-ball 40 at a strike rate of 125 while Kerr scored a 38-ball 36. Their vital knocks took Velocity to a decent total of 121/6 in their 20 overs.

In reply, Supernovas looked in a spot of bother at 64-5. But skipper Harmanpreet Kaur played a captain's knock of a 37-ball 51 as the Supernovas crossed the finish line in the final ball of the innings.
