Deepak Hooda had added finishing touches to Sunrisers Hyderabad's innings by playing a cameo knock of a three-ball 14 which included two boundaries and a maximum. He then made an impact on the field during the second innings between Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the IS Bindra Stadium on Monday.

The incident took place in the third over of Kings XI Punjab's run chase which was bowled by the Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan. Khan bowled a simple delivery and Gayle heaved at it to clear the boundary. Just when it looked like the ball will reach the boundary, Hooda came running and took a brilliant catch at long-on which left Gayle stunned. Hooda's joy knew no bounds while celebrating and his team-mates joined him as well and a gutted Chris Gayle walked back to the dug out as the partisan crowd were left shell-shocked.
