Chris Lynn had a memorable night during KKR's eight wicket win over Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Sunday. He scored a match-winning 32-ball 50 at a strike rate of 156.25 which included six boundaries and three maximums. Nonetheless, it was an adventurous knock from the Australian opener which included a lot of entertainment. Tata Harrier, which is this year's official car of IPL, was at the receiving end of Lynn's ruthless batting.

The incident happened in the 11th over of the KKR run chase which was bowled by Shreyas Gopal. Gopal bowled one outside the off stump as Lynn went on his knees and executed the lofted shot perfectly as the ball managed to travel the distance. However, Lynn's shot struck straight on the glass of the promotional car but fortunately, the glass was not broken and no other serious damage was done.

The video of this incident was posted on Twitter.

Earlier Chris Lynn had got a lucky lifeline as well. In the fourth over of the Kolkata innings, Rajasthan's Dhawal Kulkarni bowled a good ball which came inside well, but Chris Lynn missed the ball completely. While Kulkarni raised his hands up in celebration thinking that the timber was disturbed, his celebrations were short-lived when he saw that the wicket was not broken.

The Aussie stitched in a 91 run opening stand with Sunil Narine who also played a quickfire knock of a 25-ball 47 at a strike rate of 188 including six fours and three sixes. After the duo were dismissed, Robin Uthappa and Shubman Gill took KKR home without any further hiccups.

Dinesh Karthik won the toss and elected to bowl first. His decision paid off as his opposite number Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed early. Steve Smith and Jos Buttler then stitched in a 72 run second wicket stand. Smith scored his first IPL half-century of this season. His 59-ball 73 helped the Royals reach a decent total of 139/3 in their 20 overs.
