Harmanpreet Kaur took an unbelievable catch on the boundary to get rid of West Indies skipper Stafanie Taylor for 94 in the 1st ODI on at Antigua on Friday.

Harmanpreet Kaur has been arguably the best ever power-hitter in Indian women's cricket. She has been a match-winner for India on numerous occasions. Harmanpreet Kaur is also known for taking the match away from the opposition in the T20I format with her explosive batting. Who can forget her blistering knock of 171 in the ICC Women's World Cup 2017 semi-final against the then world champions Australia that took India into the final? However, this time, it was not Harmanpreet the batsman but Harmanpreet the fielder who had made a tremendous impact on the field against the West Indies in the first ODI.

Kaur takes an absolute blinder

Harmanpreet Kaur had taken an incredible catch to get rid of West Indies skipper Stafanie Taylor in the first One Day International at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Friday. Taylor, who was on 94 when she had decided to go for a big hit, but could only succeed in finding Harmanpreet Kaur instead of clearing the fence. It happened on the final ball of the West Indian innings. After having despatched the previous delivery of Ekta Bisht into the stands, the Caribbean skipper decided to hit another maximum and complete her century. In fact, she almost succeeded in doing so but Harmanpreet Kaur struck out of nowhere and pulled off a miracle as she took an incredibly unbelievable catch on the boundary and denied Taylor a well-deserved ton. West Indies pull off a thrilling win

Electing to bat first after winning the toss, West Indies scored 225/7 in their 50 overs riding on half-centuries from Stafanie Taylor (94) and Natasha McLean (51).  In reply, India openers Priya Punia (75) and Jemimah Rodrigues (41) added 78 runs for the opening stand. But, the Indian batting could not capitalise on their start as Anisa Mohammed's fifer helped the Windies pull off a thrilling one-run win. Anisa finished with figures of 6/45 from her 10 overs at an economy rate of 4.60.
