Kings XI Punjab will be looking to get back to winning ways as they take on Rajasthan Royals at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium on Tuesday. Punjab will be looking to do the double over Rajasthan while the inaugural edition champions will look to avenge their reverse fixture loss.

There was a lot of action heading into this contest as this was the first face-off between Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin and Rajasthan's opening batsman Jos Buttler after the two were involved in the 'Mankading' controversy. However, there was an occasion where Ashwin could not control himself after Buttler was dismissed. 

The viral moment took place in the fifth over of Rajasthan innings which was bowled by debutant Arshdeep Singh. Jos Buttler who was batting well was on strike. The 20-year old Punjab speedster bowled a widish delivery outside off stump and Buttler went for the big shot with the intention of depositing the ball into the stumps. However, the Englishman did not time the ball well as it went a long way up in the air. Wicket-keeper Nicolas Pooran ran a few yards back and took an excellent catch as Buttler walked back to the dugout.

Arshdeep Singh who got his maiden wicket could not hold himself back from celebrating. Meanwhile, skipper Ravichandran Ashwin was so excited that he jumped in joy and was carried on with his over the top celebrations.

Earlier Rajasthan Royals skipper Ajinkya Rahane decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Chris Gayle and KL Rahul got Punjab off to a steady start with a 38 run stand for the opening wicket. KXIP then lost the wickets of Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal. Rahul on the other side, anchored Punjab's innings as he stitched in an 85 run stand with David Miller who played a solid cameo of a 27-ball 40. The stylish opening batsman then went on to register his 14th IPL half-century and his fourth one of this season. His solid knock of a 47-ball 52 helped Punjab get to a challenging total of 182/6 in their 20 overs.
