Both Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will be looking to win their record fourth IPL title at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday. The winner of this final will also be the most successful team in IPL history to win the maximum number of trophies. There were a lot of moments in the grand finale. They included a brisk start from MI's opening batsmen skipper Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock, Deepak Chahar's excellent comeback after being hit for 20 runs in his previous over and Shardul Thakur taking an outstanding catch off his own bowling to get rid of Krunal Pandya. However, there is one bizarre moment that involved Kieron Pollard.

It happened in the final over of Mumbai's innings which was bowled by Dwayne Bravo. On the third delivery, Bravo bowled a widish delivery outside off stump as Pollard did not attempt a shot as the ball was outside the line. However, umpire Nitin Menon did not signal it as a wide as Pollard threw his bat up in disgust. While Bravo was about to bowl the next delivery, Pollard then took stance on the wide ball mark when Bravo was about to bowl the next delivery before backing out and disturbing the bowler's rhythm. The CSK head coach Stephen Fleming was looking visibly upset. The umpires Nitin Menon and Ian Gould then came and had a chat with Pollard.

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. Mumbai got off to a good start riding on a flurry of sixes from Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma. The duo put on 45 runs for the opening wicket. Both were then dismissed in quick succession. Kieron Pollard played a stellar cameo of a 25-ball unbeaten 41 at a strike rate of 164 which took Mumbai to a respectable total of 149/8 in their 20 overs.
