20-year old Punjab speedster Arshdeep Singh had a dream IPL debut as he picked up two crucial wickets in Kings XI Punjab's 12-run win over Rajasthan Royals at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium on Tuesday.

The youngster was interviewed by Kings XI Punjab owner Preity Zinta post the win. She first greeted Arshdeep in Punjabi by asking 'Ki Haal Chaal Hai Thoda?' To which Arshdeep replied that he was feeling good as the team had ended up on the winning side and that he could make a contribution in the win. Priety then had a message for the youngsters who are dreaming to play the IPL about how a dream IPL debut should be (referring to Singh). She finally thanked the youngster and congratulated him once again.

Arshdeep picked up the wickets of Jos Buttler and skipper Ajinkya Rahane after both of them were looking to convert their good starts into big knocks. His bowling figures were 2/43 in his four overs at an economy of 10.75. 

Kings XI Punjab did the double over Rajasthan Royals as they got the better of the 2008 winners by 12 runs at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium on Tuesday. Punjab have now made their way to the fourth spot in the points table having won five of their nine games including four losses. They now have 10 points in their tally.

Earlier Rajasthan Royals skipper Ajinkya Rahane decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Chris Gayle and KL Rahul got Punjab off to a steady start with a 38 run stand for the opening wicket. KXIP then lost the wickets of Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal. Rahul on the other side, anchored Punjab's innings as he stitched in an 85 run stand with David Miller who played a solid cameo of a 27-ball 40. The stylish opening batsman then went on to register his 14th IPL half-century and his fourth one of this season. His solid knock of a 47-ball 52 helped Punjab get to a challenging total of 182/6 in their 20 overs.
