Rajasthan Royals are toiling hard to bring their campaign back on track. Royals who had made it to the Playoffs last season are struggling to get going this season. As they try to rediscover their rhythm, the Rajasthan players seemed to stay away from having sweets as far as possible. Professional sportspersons need to stay fit and therefore, sweets find no place in their diet.   During their flight to Kolkata, the players hesitated from having sweets, or even answering which their favourite sweets are, as they focused at the job in hand.

Before boarding the flight, young all-rounder Riyan Parag was reminded that Kolkata was very famous for sweets. But the 17-year old replied that he does not like sweets. Inside the flight, a bar of dark chocolate was first offered to the Rajasthan Royals skipper Steve Smith who declined to have it. It was then passed on to Ajinkya Rahane who was seated next to him. Rahane gave a thumbs up before taking it but then did not have it.

Rahul Tripathi was then asked what his favourite sweet is and he said that he loves 'Jalebi'. At the same time, the start batsman also said that he cannot have sweets now as their physio John Gloster had refrained them from having sweets. One of the players was seen passing a piece of chocolate but no one was interested in having it. New Zealand leg-spinner Ish Sodhi said that he was on a low carb diet and that sweets are not good for the body. When Sanju Samson was offered chocolate, he said that he had no plan to eat sweets as all he wanted to do was go out there and win the match.

Rajasthan Royals have had an ordinary season so far as they have only managed to win three of their 10 games and registering seven losses with only six points. The inaugural edition winners are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table.

Rajasthan Royals will be in action against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on Thursday.
