Whenever someone speaks about the helicopter shot, the first name that flashes into our minds is the name of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The talismanic Indian wicket keeper, who is the proud owner of the shot, has an unmatched style of playing the shot which is highly unorthodox in the game of cricket.

The famous Helicopter shot by the legendary M.S. Dhoni became an overnight sensation in the world of cricket when he played it first during his initial cricketing days. Over the years many have tried emulate the shot, but have failed to do so.

However, Afghanistani all-rounder Rashid Khan recently tried to pull a leaf out of MS Dhoni's book - an opponent with whom he has locked horns several times in the IPL. Rashid Khan decided to try his hands at the helicopter shot during a T10 League match and was successful in his attempt.

Rashid Khan plies his trade with Maratha Arabians in the newly introduced T10 league, which is currently being played at Sharjah. The 20-year-old was among the runs for his side as the Maratha Arabians managed to score 125-6 in their quota of 10 overs.

He smashed a quickfire 21 runs off 7 deliveries which was laced with 2 boundaries and as many sixes. The all-rounder who was the catalyst behind his team's victory later posted the video on his shot on Twitter, giving credit to the inventor of the shot - Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Even in its inaugural season, the newly introduced T10 League has become an instant hit with some an exhibition of swashbuckling hits displayed by batsmen. The league has been all over the headlines with several scoring records been broken which makes a visual delight for fans with scores going as high as 186 in just 10 overs.
