WATCH | Ravindra Jadeja achieves this milestone in the IPL, celebrates in a unique style

Chennai Super Kings look to continue their dominant run this season as they face Rajashan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Thursday.  One of Chennai's premier star reached a new milestone in this match. Stylish all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took his 100th IPL wicket. His victim was none other than Australia's Steve Smith. 

The incident happened in the 11th over of Rajasthan's innings. During the final ball of the 11th over, Jadeja bowled a simple delivery and Smith went for a slog sweep. However, he did not time the ball properly and the ball went straight into the hands of Ambati Rayadu who was fielding at deep midwicket. Rayadu took the catch and Jadeja celebrated in a unique style to let everyone know that he had reached the three-figure mark.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and skipper Dhoni invited Rajasthan Royals to bat. The 2008 champions got off to a steady start riding on the opening partnership between Jos Buttler and Ajinkya Rahane. Rahane was trapped in front of the wicket by Deepak Chahar and he was sent back to the dugout for 14. Post the skipper's dismissal, the Royals innings lost its momentum as the Chennai bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals. Jos Buttler got out when it looked like he was going to bring the Royals innings back on track. He was dismissed after playing a cameo of a 10-ball 23. Royals then suffered a huge setback when their key batsmen Sanju Samson, Steve Smith and Rahul Tripathi were dismissed without making much of an impact. 

English all-rounder Ben Stokes tried to accelerate in the death overs but even he was castled by Deepak Chahar for 28 which put the Royals in a spot of bother, but a late resistance from tailenders Shreyas Gopal (19) and Jofra Archer (13) helped RR post a competitive total of 151/7 in their 20 overs.
