WATCH: Sanju Samson's masterclass behind the stumps dismisses Manish Pandey, but leaves everyone confused

Rajasthan Royals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday. By the virtue of this win, the inaugural edition winners have now jumped to the sixth position in the points table. The Royals have also avenged their reverse fixture loss against the 'Orange Army'.

There were a lot of memorable moments in this clash. However, arguably the stand out moment of the game was Sanju Samson's great presence of mind behind the stumps. The incident happened in the 15th over of SRH's innings which was bowled by Shreyas Gopal and Manish Pandey was on strike. In the final ball of that over, Gopal bowled a simple one outside the off stump as Pandey tried to guide it down to the third man. He thought that the ball must have beaten the keeper as he looked for a run. His plan was foiled as an alert Sanju Samson collected the ball and dislodged the bails. The umpires then sought assistance from the third umpire. Nonetheless, Samson was unsure about whether it was out while Gopal was seen giving mixed reactions. The replays showed that Pandey was short of his crease as his leg was in the air and he was stumped. He was given out.  But the most astonishing thing about it was that after having a closer look at the batsman's dismissal, it was revealed that Pandey had actually edged the ball and was caught behind as Samson had not only completed the stumping but had also taken an unbelievable catch.

Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bowl first. Post Williamson's dismissal, David Warner stitched in a 75-run stand with Manish Pandey, who anchored Hyderabad's innings. He played a superb knock of a 36-ball 61 at a strike rate of 169.44 which included nine boundaries. After Pandey was dismissed due to Sanju Samson's outstanding work behind the stumps, the SRH innings lost its momentum. In the end, Rashid Khan played an important cameo of an 8-ball 17 and the 'Orange Army' got to a decent total of 160/8 in their 20 overs. 

In reply, Ajinkya Rahane and Liam Livingstone added 78 runs for the opening wicket as Royals got home in the final over, riding on Sanju Samson's unbeaten 32-ball 48.
