WATCH: SRH run out both RCB batsmen in one ball

Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered their third straight loss and that too by a huge margin of 118 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday. Chasing a mammoth score of 232 RCB were never really in the chase as they were reduced to 35/6 by the seventh over. Colin de Grandhomme was the only RCB batsman who could offer some resistance by scoring a 32-ball 37.

However, his stay in the middle ended when he was involved in a comical mix up with Mohammad Siraj. The incident took place in the 19th over of RCB's run chase when Mohammed Siraj hit the ball towards the cover fielder and went for a run. Meanwhile , a no ball was also signalled by the umpire. Even De Grandhomme who was at the non-striker's end took off only to turn back and return back to the non-striker's end. At the same time he also showed a casual approach while grounding his bat and bowler Vijay Shankar dislodged the bails while the New-Zealand batsman was short of his ground. Shankar then went on to throw the ball at the striker's end which not only hit the stumps but also found Siraj short of his ground despite putting in the dive. Thus, both the batsman were run out at the same time. However, since De Grandhomme was run out first at the non-striker's end, he was declared out.

RCB's backbone was broken by Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi who took four wickets by giving away just 11 runs in his four overs at an economy of 2.75. He ensured that RCB's run chase lost its steam even before the Powerplay overs were completed. He was introduced into the attack in the second over and he picked up Parthiv Patel for 11. In his next over he had Shimron Hetmyer stumped and three balls later he castled AB de Villiers to leave RCB reeling at 22/3. He then scalped Shivan Dube (5) and also effected a run out of Moeen Ali (2).
