  • Suresh Raina got the DRS call completely right during CSK's run chase

Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by 1 run to win their fourth IPL crown at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday. It was an edge of the seat thriller which went right down the wire as the winner could only be determined on the final ball of the game. Just like the other games, even this game had its fair share of rather bizarre moments. These moments took place in both the innings. In the final over of the first innings, Kieron Pollard was seen marking a stance on the wide-ball mark and then backed away while Dwayne Bravo had marked his run up to deliver the ball. The umpires Nitin Menon and Ian Gould then proceeded to have a chat with the Caribbean all-rounder. An even bigger drama unfolded in the second innings when CSK skipper MS Dhoni was given a run out when the replays finally showed that his bat was on the line. However, since there was inconclusive evidence, it seemed that the decision would go in the batsmen's favour which did not happen and it ended up causing a big debate on social media.

There was yet another moment that involved Suresh Raina. Nonetheless, it was a moment that prolonged his stay at the crease for some more time. It happened in the seventh over of CSK's run chase which was bowled by Mitchell McClenaghan. On the third delivery, the left arm speedster bowled a short ball as Raina attempted an unsuccessful pull shot which he ended up missing completely and Quinton de Kock made no mistake behind the stumps. The MI players appealed for it and the umpire raised his finger. The 'China Thala' looked did not look convinced and had a discussion with Shane Watson at the non-striker's end before going for a review.

The review was spot on as the replays showed that the ball had neither made contact with his bat or the gloves and the southpaw got a reprieve. The video of Raina's perfect DRS call was posted on Twitter. Take a look.
