The 12th edition of IPL is just moments away from getting started but the excitement of this tournament has already created a huge impact in the minds of all the die-hard Cricket fans out there.

Chennai Super Kings who have won the IPL thrice and are also the defending champions heading into this season will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram stadium tonight. The CSK has a huge fan base. They are one of the most loved teams of IPL. Another factor for their huge fan following is due to the presence of the World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni who is considered as a 'Thalaiva' by the CSK fans. At the same time, it should not be surprising to know that the 'Yellow Army' also has a huge fan following overseas as well.

The fans had performed a flash mob on CSK's theme song 'Whistle Podu' which has been a hit among the Cricket lovers in Chennai for some time now. They will be hoping for CSK to begin their campaign on a winning note. Meanwhile, the Chennai franchise will also need to address their bowling woes as they continue to look for a replacement for star South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi who has been ruled out of the tournament due to a Grade 2 muscle strain in the ongoing series against Sri Lanka. Ngidi made his IPL debut last season and had a huge role to play in CSK's triumph as he had picked up 11 wickets in seven matches.
